Markers and More
What is the difference between an Outliner marker and a normal Black marker?
The Neuland Outliner is the primary marker. The Outliner Marker (in the orange casing) has permanent black ink (colour code: 010). This is a special water based ink pigment that will ensure that your beautiful contours will not get blurred or smeared when you add colour and shadows with our essential range of water-based markers. Make sure that your recap these markers directly after use to prevent them drying out.
The Black Markers (colour code: 100), are best used for writing text or drawing images that will not be coloured over. These pens will not dry out if the caps are left off during a workshop.
Find the explainer video on our YouTube channel.
What is the Shadow Marker?
Applying shadows allows an object to stand out from the backdrop.
NOTE: Shadow is a dark area of contrast cast by an object illuminated on the opposite side. Shadow is always placed on the opposite side of the light source.
Grey is a neutral colour and goes with all the colour markers. We use grey (colour code: 101 and 102) to create shadow.
Depending on the purpose, you may choose to use the Neuland BigOne, NoOne, NoOne Art or TwinOne (colour code: 101 and 102) to create shadow.
